Another layer in fraud protection is here! Farmers & Merchants Bank is now offering Positive Pay, an automated fraud detection tool. Positive Pay is a service that matches the account number, check number and dollar amount of each check presented for payment against a list of checks previously authorized and issued by the company.  All three must match or the payment is temporarily held as an exception.

Things to Know

• Program is managed by the business user
• Ability to upload and/or download between most accounting programs
• Catch fraudulent items before checks have cleared your account
• Exceptions are managed and reviewed by business users.  Users have until 12PM CST to mark  as pay or return.  If no action is taken, the check automatically clears.
