Our Smart ATM is an interactive teller machine. It looks similar to a regular ATM but with a big difference—you can speak with an FMB teller using the video option, should you need assistance during a transaction. You can do virtually any transaction you can do in-person, including:

  • Depositing and withdrawing cash (no slips needed!)
  • Depositing & cashing checks
  • Transferring funds
  • Checking account balances
  • Make loan payments

It’s easy to use! Simply insert your personal or business debit card and follow the prompts on the screen.

What is a Smart ATM?

Also known as an ITM (interactive teller machine), a Smart ATM allows you to conduct transactions on your own, or with the assistance of a virtual teller through two-way live video. Same great service and security you’ve come to expect.

How do Smart ATMs work?

Simply touch the screen or insert your card to get started. Follow the prompts to complete your transaction. Should you need assistance, an FMB teller can provide a “teller assist” where they guide you through how to complete the transaction.

What types of cards are accepted at the Smart ATM?

FMB personal or business debit cards with chips are the only accepted cards at our Smart ATM. This requirement is an added layer of security and protection for terminal transactions. Contactless features are currently disabled. 

Where are the tellers located?

Our virtual tellers are located at our main branch.

What hours can I access Smart ATMs?

SMART ATMs are available 24 hours. Teller Assists are available during regular business hours.

What type of transactions can I do at a Smart ATM?

Most in-person transactions can be conducted at our Smart ATM including depositing cash and checks, withdrawing funds, cashing checks, transferring funds, and checking account balances.

Why is FMB using a Smart ATM?

Is the Smart ATM replacing FMB employees?

Not at all! The Smart ATM provides an added layer of support for our employees by offering customers the option to self-serve. Both locations, our drive-thru and main branch, will have employees ready to assist you.

Are Smart ATMs the same as regular ATMs?

No. Smart ATMs are ideal for customers who would like to complete a transaction that would require a personal teller. FMB still has ATMs available to do transactions like withdrawing cash or checking account balances. You can find our ATM locations here.

Which locations have a Smart ATM?

Our Smart ATM is available in lane 3 at our drive thru location, 663 Broadway St., Berlin WI.

Will the same teller handle my Smart ATM teller assist transactions?

We will have a team of tellers designated to assist customers at our Smart ATM so you may not always speak with the same person.

Is there a threshold for check deposits?

Yes. Checks for $1,500 or more will be reviewed during your Smart ATM transaction via Teller Assist, during regular business hours.

I’m not a customer of FMB, can I still use the Smart ATM?

Non-customers can use the Smart ATM for regular ATM functions.

Does the Smart ATM accept coin?

No, the Smart ATM does not accept or dispense coin.

What denominations does the Smart ATM accept?

Cash deposited into the Smart ATM can be in any increment. However, the Smart ATM only dispenses $5, $10, $20, and $100. $1 bills and coin will not be dispensed.
